I was born curious. I could read way before I started school and haven’t stopped since. I am probably the only one reading everything on public notice boards and I can’t start my day without reading the newspaper and keep live news as my background noise when working. I subscribe to more magazines than I sometimes have time to read. I knew when I was still in high school that I wanted to work in the communications field, and stressed my study and careers adviser who suggested I go into the economics field. I refused and now I can look back to 20+ years in the communication business and some great adventures, helping international organizations understand the world by identifying critical trends and issues and developing new solutions and models for communication strategies and communication research and use presentation and information tools like PowerPoint more effectively.
I have developed a passion for trendspotting and I’m especially curious about new tech innovations. I own way too many gadgets if you ask my CPA. I am constantly exploring new media habits and follow news and shows using all types of channels, rarely the traditional.
I am always on the lookout for great strategic, visual communication and advertising, the most brilliant corporate storytelling and the best corporate presenters. I am passionate about visual communication and presentations and can’t stop sketchnoting.
I was most recently one of the original Partners of the communication agency Prime International , the most awarded independent communication agency in the world and a senior advisor at UnitedMinds , Prime’s business intelligence branch, working with advising clients such as Ericsson, Telia and IKEA. During my years at Prime and United Minds, and previous agencies, I did research in areas such as the future of drug stores, privacy and the internet, customer friendliness, new health and beauty trends, mobile tech innovations and many, many other areas. I was building and running a growing agency and with all its entrepreneurial challenges and continue to thrive as an entrepreneur.
Today I am the founder of my agencies VisionJar (trends and insights) and Presentitude® (presentation and information design) that I run out of my office in Northern California, USA. My years with one foot in Europe and one in the US have given me a unique and different perspective of international communication and presentation trends.
This is my personal space where I curate my thoughts on different aspects of the communication world. Thanks for stopping by!
